Old Toronto Renovation

Project Info

This renovation was a tough one – client had hired a contractor who started demo without design direction and let’s just say confusion ensued! Enter Stacey Romano Interiors, we had to deconstruct what was already done, go back to the basics and design an open concept space in a completely closed up, outdated layout for this 100 year old home. Between structural engineers, contractors, electricians and may different installers, we were able to get everything back on track and give our client the absolute home of her dreams.  As a recent widow, she had lived in this home for 40+ years, raised her children and was now looking forward to retirement in a completely renovated home.

We opened up the main floor, using structural beams, removed the original staircase which was not to code and completely crooked, stripped everything back to the studs and started fresh!  New Kitchen, new flooring, new staircases, new fireplace and all the beautiful furniture she always dreamed of…

Second floor transformation complete with all new flooring, a sparkling luxurious bathroom, new furnishings, custom draperies, lighting and all the bells and whistles.

The basement was also completely renovated and we added the most spectacular bathroom sanctuary, complete with a wet room and luxury finishes, additional family room area and upgraded laundry room.

I cant believe this is my house! Every time I walk in I have to remind myself that I live here.
