Clients contemplated moving, but having raised three children and being able to watch them play in the school playground from their kitchen window proved to be too nostalgic and they decided to renovate instead! Stacey Romano Interiors had worked with them before on smaller decorating projects; Dining Room decor and a Living Room upgrade with custom upholstery and draperies, but this was the “big” renovation we had discussed for years!
We opened up the architecture by turning 3 smaller rooms into one large kitchen and family room combination. Removing walls, adding structural beams, new white oak wide plank hardwood flooring throughout, staircase upgrades and a fully customised Dream Kitchen giving this busy family the home of their dreams.
While we were at it, we completely renovated their kids bathroom, giving them a fresh, crisp upgraded space for hours and hours of showering!
Our team completely transformed this home, this does not happen overnight, with several moths of design drawings and planning, product procurement, Kitchen designs and many many hours of project management, contractor meetings and onsite changes, larger projects can take up to a year from concept to completion. But I promise you, it’s all worth it when your home feels like a sanctuary.
